My Story
Hi, I’m Jasmin (also known as Jaslee), and welcome to Auslanity.
Auslanity began as a passion project inspired by my love of Auslan and my work as an accredited Auslan trainer. I’m Deaf, and Auslan has been my language and way of life since I was around three or four years old. It’s how I connect, express myself, and experience the world.

If you’re curious about Auslan and Deaf culture, you’re in the right place.

A Bit About Me
Over the past eight years, I’ve worked hard to train and build my skills as an accredited Auslan trainer. Teaching Auslan has allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life, and I’m constantly inspired by their commitment to learning and improving communication access.

Alongside teaching, I also hold a diploma in graphic design. Creativity has always been a big part of who I am, and you’ll often find me behind the scenes designing, experimenting, and dreaming up new ideas. My favourite colour is hot pink because it is bold, vibrant, and full of energy. You’ll definitely see it pop up throughout Auslanity.

I’m also an author, with four books that explore Auslan, Deaf culture, and romantic suspense. Writing gives me another way to share stories connected to the Deaf community, with a little mystery and heart mixed in. My books are available exclusively on this website, with more stories on the way.
How Auslanity Was Born
Auslanity was created after I noticed a lack of Auslan-related handmade items that truly reflected Deaf culture, pride, and creativity. I wanted to build a space where Auslan could be celebrated in everyday ways, through clothing, gifts, resources, and designs that tell a story.

Every item you see, from Deaf pride designs to custom requests, is created with care. My aim is to design pieces that help people feel proud to be part of the Deaf community, or proud to stand alongside it as an ally.
My Vision
Auslanity is more than a shop. It is a creative space built around connection, identity, and inclusion. My goals are to:
Raise awareness of Auslan and Deaf culture
Create designs that resonate with both Deaf people and hearing allies
Support creativity through custom ideas and collaborations
Provide accessible, Auslan-inspired resources that can be used in teaching and learning
